Product Description

InboxPro is a Gmail Add-on that uses artificial intelligence to help you compose email drafts, generate replies, and manage your inbox more efficiently. Built by James Salinas at Salinas Digital Media, InboxPro brings AI-powered productivity directly into your Gmail interface — no switching tabs, no copy-pasting, no external tools.

InboxPro works by reading the email you're currently viewing (only when you trigger a feature), sending the content to OpenAI for processing, and returning an AI-generated response directly into your Gmail compose window. Your email content is never stored outside of your Gmail account.

OAuth Scopes

InboxPro requests the following OAuth scopes. Each scope is required for a specific function of the add-on and is used only as described below.

1. gmail.addons.execute

What it does: Allows the add-on to run inside the Gmail interface.
Why it's needed: This is the base permission required for any Gmail Add-on to function. Without it, InboxPro cannot load in your Gmail sidebar.

2. gmail.addons.current.message.readonly

What it does: Allows InboxPro to read the content of the email you currently have open.
Why it's needed: InboxPro needs to read the current email to understand context and generate a relevant AI-powered reply or summary.

3. gmail.addons.current.message.action

What it does: Allows InboxPro to perform actions on the current message.
Why it's needed:Used to insert AI-generated draft replies into the compose window for the email you're viewing.

4. gmail.addons.current.action.compose

What it does: Allows InboxPro to open a compose window and pre-fill it with content.
Why it's needed: Used when you request a new AI-generated draft — InboxPro opens the compose window and inserts the generated content so you can review and edit before sending.

5. gmail.readonly

What it does: Allows InboxPro to read email messages and metadata across your inbox.
Why it's needed: Enables features that reference recent emails or thread history to provide better context for AI-generated responses.

6. gmail.send

What it does: Allows InboxPro to send emails on your behalf.
Why it's needed: Used only when you explicitly confirm and send an AI-generated draft. Emails are never sent automatically — you always review and approve before sending.

7. gmail.compose

What it does: Allows InboxPro to create and modify email drafts.
Why it's needed: Used to save AI-generated content as drafts in your Gmail account that you can edit before sending.

8. script.external_request

What it does: Allows InboxPro to make external API calls.
Why it's needed: Required to communicate with the OpenAI API, which powers the AI features. This is the only external service InboxPro contacts. No other third-party services receive your data.

Data Use & Privacy

InboxPro accesses your email content only when you actively trigger an AI feature. The content is sent to OpenAI for processing and the result is returned directly to your Gmail. No email content is stored on any external server. No data is sold, shared, or used for advertising.
