InboxPro Privacy Policy

1. Who We Are

InboxPro is developed and maintained by James Salinas, operating as Salinas Digital Media, a sole proprietorship based in the United States. When this policy refers to "we," "us," or "our," it means James Salinas / Salinas Digital Media.

2. What InboxPro Does

InboxPro is a Google Workspace Add-on for Gmail that uses artificial intelligence to help users compose email drafts, generate replies, and manage their inbox more efficiently. The add-on operates entirely within the Gmail interface and processes email content on demand — only when you actively use one of its features.

3. OAuth Scopes & Data Access

InboxPro requests the following Google OAuth scopes. Each scope is required for a specific function of the add-on:

gmail.addons.execute

Allows the add-on to run inside the Gmail interface. This is the base permission required for any Gmail Add-on to function.

gmail.addons.current.message.readonly

Allows InboxPro to read the content of the email you currently have open. This is used to understand the context of the email so AI can generate a relevant reply or summary.

gmail.addons.current.message.action

Allows InboxPro to perform actions on the current message, such as inserting a draft reply into the compose window.

gmail.addons.current.action.compose

Allows InboxPro to open a compose window and pre-fill it with AI-generated content when you request a new draft.

gmail.readonly

Allows InboxPro to read email messages and metadata. This is used for features that need to reference recent emails or thread history to provide better AI-generated context.

gmail.send

Allows InboxPro to send emails on your behalf when you explicitly confirm and send an AI-generated draft. Emails are never sent automatically — you always review and approve before sending.

gmail.compose

Allows InboxPro to create and modify email drafts in your Gmail account. This is used to save AI-generated content as drafts you can edit before sending.

script.external_request

Allows InboxPro to make external API calls — specifically to the OpenAI API — to process email content and generate AI-powered responses. No other external services are contacted.

4. How Your Data Is Used

When you use an InboxPro feature (such as "Generate Reply" or "Draft Email"), the add-on reads the relevant email content and sends it to the OpenAI API for processing. The AI generates a response, which is returned to you inside Gmail. This is the only time your email content leaves Gmail, and it is sent solely for the purpose of generating the AI response you requested.

We do not read, scan, or process your emails in the background. Data is only accessed when you actively interact with the add-on.

5. AI Processing & OpenAI

InboxPro uses the OpenAI API to generate email drafts and replies. When you trigger an AI feature, the content of the relevant email (or your prompt) is sent to OpenAI for processing. OpenAI processes the data and returns a result. Per OpenAI's API data usage policy, data sent through the API is not used to train their models.

We do not store the prompts or responses on any server. Once the AI-generated content is returned to your Gmail, the transaction is complete.

6. Data Storage

InboxPro does not operate its own servers or databases. The add-on runs entirely within the Google Apps Script environment and your Gmail account. No email content, user data, or AI-generated responses are stored outside of your Google account.

Temporary data (such as the AI-generated draft text) exists only in memory during the active session and is not persisted.

7. Data Sharing

We do not sell, rent, lease, or share your personal data or email content with any third party. The only external service that receives email content is OpenAI, and only when you explicitly trigger an AI feature. No data is shared for advertising, analytics, marketing, or any other purpose.

8. Data Retention

InboxPro does not retain any user data. Email content is processed in real-time and is not stored after the AI response is delivered. There is no database, log, or cache of your email content maintained by InboxPro or Salinas Digital Media.

9. Security

All communication between InboxPro and the OpenAI API is encrypted via HTTPS/TLS. The add-on operates within Google's secure Apps Script environment, which enforces Google's own security standards. Access to the add-on is controlled by Google's OAuth consent flow — you grant and can revoke permissions at any time.

10. Your Rights

You can revoke InboxPro's access to your Google account at any time by visiting your Google Account permissions page at myaccount.google.com/permissions. Once access is revoked, InboxPro will no longer be able to read your emails or perform any actions in your Gmail account.

Since we do not store any data, there is no data to delete. Revoking access fully disconnects InboxPro from your account.

11. Children's Privacy

InboxPro is not intended for use by individuals under the age of 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children.

12. Changes to This Policy

We may update this privacy policy from time to time. If we make material changes, we will update the "Last Updated" date at the top of this page. Continued use of InboxPro after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.
